Community Roller Skating Nights are BACK!
Saturday, January 12, 6:00-9:00 PM at Great Brook School, Antrim NH
Heat things up and send your spirits soaring at 70’s Space Disco night! Costumes encouraged! Hot and cold concessions, glow toys, and official roller derby merch for sale. We will be collecting new, packaged socks for a SOCK DRIVE. Each pair of socks donated will get you 50¢ off admission. Save up to $5! Socks will be donated to an organization that supplies socks to people who are homeless. Great 70’s disco and space music curated by DJ Cow Plow promises fun to be had by all. Family friendly. Skate rental $6, admission $5 by donation.
Bring on the pain! 3rd Annual I Hate Valentine’s Brawl
Saturday, February 2, 1:00 – 5:00 PM at Great Brook School, Antrim NH
Did someone say chocolate potluck? Open to the public! Sweet and savory dishes welcome. Invite friends and families to watch and help us eat afterwards. Doors open at 1:00. First whistle is at 2:00. For info: contact@monadnockrollerderby.com
Off-Skates Fitness Boot Camps with Sprawkett
Saturdays, January 19 through April 6, 10 AM – Noon at Hancock Elementary School
Not ready to roll just yet? Need to make up for some bad behavior over the holidays? Get your booty over here.
Two 45 minute sessions with 5 – 10 minute health/fitness discussion periods. The intention is to support the average person to practice athleticism and self-care.
Exercises will be off-skates and provide a cross-training experience for skaters to improve core strength, flexibility, and balance. You’ll feel the awesomesauce.
45 minutes: circuit and tabatas training
45 minutes: yoga with a focus on hip-openers, core strengthening, and balance postures
Free for Monadnock Roller Derby league members (contact us to join) or suggested $5 donation for interested community members.
Bring: towel or yoga mat, athletic shoes (optional), water bottle; free weight (optional) for more resistance.
