Monadnock Roller Derby is a registered NH nonprofit. We are a league of skaters and community members dedicated to the sport and spirit of roller derby. Our members come in all shapes, sizes, colors and flavors. We have multiple jobs, roles, challenges, and gifts, but above all, we are tribe.
Our mission is threefold:
Challenge ourselves to get back up, as many times as it takes;
Challenge one another to be our best, because no one survives alone;
Create a safe and supportive space for all members to learn, grow, and smash their fears.
Your involvement matters to us! Come try on some skates, or, if you are a community member who can help with sponsorship, events, officiating or other roles, get in touch:
Join us this Friday, August 2, 5-8 PM at Frogg Brewing in Marlborough, NH! Win a pair of tickets to our August 10 double-header, grab some sweet Monadnock swag, play a few games, and meet some our Mad Knockers for an evening of beer, barbecue, and community fun.
Maybe even help us with a name for a potential brew!
On September 14, join us for what’s become a Home & Harvest tradition, the Mad Misfits’ open black & white scrimmage! Stay the whole weekend for Antrim’s liveliest, most welcoming event all year. Open to all level skaters. Check out the Facebook event for all the info!
Your hometown junior roller derby team is FAMOUS! The Mad Misfits totally rocked the East Coast Derby Extravaganza last weekend, making themselves known nationally as they played two highly ranked, experienced teams and took home a win! Check out the action on YouTube:
At the door, regular adult tickets are $15 and seniors, veterans, and students with ID are $8. Kids <10 are free. Double the fun for less than the price of a movie ticket!

Interested in getting started? Check out our Saturday Off-Skates Boot Camps! Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Jan. 19th through April 6th, at Hancock Elementary School, 10 Elementary Lane, Hancock, NH (enter through main front doors). Suggested $5 donation. Bring a towel or yoga mat, athletic shoes (or go barefoot), water bottle, free weight (3-8 lbs.) suggested for more resistance. This Bootcamp will consist of two 45 minute sessions with 5 – 10 minute health/fitness discussion periods. The intention is to provide a platform for the average person to create a basic understanding of being athletic and taking care of yourself. Exercises will be off-skates and provide a cross-training experience for skaters to improve core-strength, flexibility, and balance. The muscles that will be focused on, will be for roller derby use and conditioning. For more info, contact: Sprawkett 603-748-9945 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Looking to stay in shape with a fun-loving bunch but not ready for skates? Come to our roller derby rock star training sessions. The first 45 minutes of practice will be off-skates strength training and en”derb”ance, using body weight. Optional: stay and learn to skate for the next 45 minutes, as we will be focusing on the skills required.
Participants will have to sign a waiver, and can be from ages 8 to +18. They should be ready to sweat and move their bodies to a variety of exercises that will target zones of the body used for skating. Hence train like a derby rock star!!
$5 drop-in donation for non-members.
