It was an action-packed weekend as the Mad Knockers tested ourselves against some of the very best teams in New England at the All Eight on the Floor Tournament. Joined by some serious muscle from the Elm City Derby Damez, we played a respectable first game against Maine Roller Derby‘s formidable Old Port Brigade, then beat Hartford Area Roller Derby‘s awesome Beat City Bedrockers at a breathtaking 169-167. Our final game, which began with nine players and ended with just six, earned us the fourth place spot. Not too shabby for the very first tournament in Monadnock league history. Congratulations to all the teams, BIG thanks to the officials and volunteers, props to Worcester Roller Derby for organizing, and to all our fans… GO MAD!
