Check out today’s NH Sunday News for today’s story featuring Monadnock Roller Derby and our neighbors and friends, the Elm City Derby Damez! Thanks to Melanie Plenda for writing this story, which we think really captures the spirit of what it’s all about.
While we’re at it, here are your reminders about upcoming events (click to subscribe):
Thursday, April 21: Community Supper Served on Skates*
*If you’re local to Antrim and want to contribute a pie for this Thursday’s community supper, sign up here.
Saturday, April 23: 80’s Roller Skating Night
Friday, April 29: Spelling Bee fundraiser for The River Center
Saturday, April 30: Scrimmage vs. Seacoast Roller Derby
…and more events in May!
In other news, our Junior team, the Mad Misfits, and women’s team, the Mad Knockers, cheered on Boston and Philadelphia at Boston Roller Derby’s season opener/double header on April 9. Thanks to our fans for supporting snack sales at our scrimmages and roller skating nights, which made it possible for all the juniors to attend! Enjoy this photo set from the event, and reach out to Coach Pat if you have an interested junior player or wish to sponsor one!
We’re gearing up for a great season, and hope you’ll join us. As always, get in touch with any questions: contact@monadnockrollerderby.com.
